RESIDENT ALERT!!!
Recently there have been a couple suspicious incidents that
residents need to be aware of.
On 4/21/10 at 07:15AM, an eight year old female was waiting
for the school bus when a man in a white vehicle, possibly an SUV type vehicle,
pulled up near her and stated “hey you, hey you” in a mean voice in an attempt
to get her to come towards the vehicle. Fortunately she did the right thing
and immediately ran back into the house and told her family what had happened.
Earlier that week, two residents were enjoying a morning walk
when they observed a dark silver or gray minivan driving around very slowly and
may have been casing houses for possible theft or break in. The driver was
described as a male white, late 20’s to early 30’s, and was wearing a knit
winter cap despite the fact that it was a very warm morning.
Residents need to be even more vigilant and observant for
suspicious activity in the Legendary Run Community and notify the Pierce
Township Police Department immediately if they observe any suspicious activity.
SUGGESTION:
Carry your cell phone anytime you are out walking, jogging,
or riding bicycles and program the telephone number for the
Clermont
County
Sheriff’s Office Dispatch 732-2231
into your cell phone or call 911.
If you should see a suspicious vehicle, call your cell phone
number and record the license number, description of the vehicle, and occupants
and then call the Pierce Township Police Department.
Remember, most cell phones are now equipped with cameras,
consider taking a picture of the vehicle and its license plate.
